Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity(IDIQ)

Many times, the most efficient way to obtain environmental compliance services is to have a multi-disciplinary company contracted on an on-call basis. Also called as-needed contracts, master services agreements (MSAs), or Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts, these mechanisms allow public and private project proponents to review consultant qualifications and to conduct contract negotiations one time. The mechanism also allows clients to have access to environmental resource specialists from project initiation, potentially avoiding significant and costly environmental impacts.

ECORP has extensive experience with On-Call Services types of contracts through our staff’s long history of performing on these types of contracts with government agencies and public and private entities. Our staff enjoys working on these types of contracts because we like to establish an efficient working relationship with our client that allows us to act as an extension of the Client’s staff. We understand that this type of arrangement requires quick response times and that the tasks can range from conducting constraints analyses to understanding potential environmental issues, conducting field surveys, preparing resource reports, and preparing CEQA and NEPA documentation. ECORP’s role is to ensure that projects are completed as efficiently as possible, while still ensuring the legal defensibility of the environmental document (for example, by ensuring that surveys for cultural resources also meet federal requirements, if a NEPA document is required, or that a biological resources survey is conducted at the appropriate time of the year).

Our staff is particularly experienced with quick response times to Task Order requests, short lead times for mobilizing field teams and for completing the field work, and strict schedules for completing the reports. In addition, our staff members are knowledgeable of the various report formats required by government agency and public entity clients. We understand the importance of quality control for documents that must be submitted to resources agencies and government entities responsible for approving our Clients’ projects.
