Business Development Coordinator

ECORP Consulting, Inc., a fast-paced environmental consulting firm (CEQA/NEPA, biology, archaeology, air quality, noise, permitting) with offices throughout California, is searching for an experienced business development professional. This is a dynamic position that offers a significant variety of daily tasks, as well as long-range assignments. Successful candidate will have experience in developing professional relationships with client and teaming partner firms; representing the company while attending conferences and professional organization events; developing content and maintaining company website; and participating in strategic plan development and implementation. Though not the major focus of this position, proposal coordination experience and skills are a plus. Successful candidate must be detail oriented, self-starter, reliable, able to work independently and on a team, possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), be well organized, and an excellent multitasker. This candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, well versed in Deltek Vision (CRM) data management and Constant Contact. Some travel is required.

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field preferred, with 5 years of related experience or equivalent. Related experience MUST be in the A/E/C industry.

Staff or Senior-level Archaeologists

ECORP Consulting, Inc. is seeking qualified, experienced, and dynamic Staff or Senior-level archaeologists for our Sacramento and San Diego regions.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • serving as a Principal Investigator on projects throughout California;
  • providing mentorship and leadership to mid-level and junior staff;
  • coordinating project tasks to meet cost and schedule objectives;
  • supervising and participating in field and laboratory work;
  • supervising groups of Senior, Staff, Associate, and Assistant Archaeologists;
  • authoring cultural resources technical reports;
  • developing new business from referrals from new and/or existing clients and assisting with marketing efforts;
  • preparing cultural resources proposals and assisting with the preparation of multidisciplinary proposals;
  • assisting the Group Manager and/or Department Director with supervision and review of department staff members;
  • advising clients and agencies on compliance matters;
  • serving as a tribal liaison; and
  • training staff in cultural resource project/task completion and reviewing work of other team members.

Minimum requirements include:

  • a master’s or doctorate degree in anthropology or archaeology;
  • a minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental and cultural resources management consulting in California;
  • Registered Professional Archaeologist (or ability to become certified as such upon hire);
  • ability to carry out fieldwork and/or construction monitoring, which may require periodic travel and work in extreme or challenging physical environments;
  • ability to function effectively in a fast-paced team environment but also to work independently;
  • a strong working knowledge of the federal and state regulatory settings;
  • proven ability to senior author cultural resource management reports; and
  • knowledge of the prehistory, history, archaeology, and ethnography of California.

The following qualities and skills are highly desired:

  • demonstrated experience serving as a consultant in an advisory capacity to clients;
  • project management experience, including a proven ability to be on time and on budget;
  • excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in complex CRM projects;
  • ability to communicate effectively in writing and through oral presentations; and
  • strong organizational skills and work ethic

Marketing Coordinator – Santa Ana Office

Senior-level Archaeologist

ECORP Consulting, Inc. is seeking a qualified and experienced senior-level archaeologist for our Southern California practice.  The successful candidate will serve as group manager, and as Principal Investigator and/or cultural resources project manager for projects throughout Southern California. This position could be based in either Redlands, Santa Ana, or San Diego.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: coordinating project tasks to meet cost and schedule objectives; supervising and participating in field and laboratory work; supervising groups of Senior, Staff, Associate, and Assistant Archaeologists; authoring cultural resources technical reports; developing new business from referrals from new and/or existing clients and assisting with marketing efforts; preparing  cultural resources proposals and assisting with the preparation of multidisciplinary proposals; assisting the Department Director with supervision and review of department staff members; advising clients and agencies on compliance matters; serving as a tribal liaison; and training staff in cultural resource project/task completion and reviewing work of other team members.

Requirements include:

  • a master’s or doctorate degree in anthropology or archaeology;
  • a minimum of 15 years of experience in cultural resources management consulting in California;
  • knowledge of the prehistory, history, archaeology, and ethnography of Southern California;
  • proven track-record of business development;
  • proven ability to senior author cultural resource management reports;
  • project management experience, including a proven ability to be on time and on budget;
  • a strong working knowledge of the federal and state regulatory settings, including CEQA, NEPA, Section 4f, Section 106/110, AB 52, and SB 18;
  • excellent problem solving skills, particularly in complex CRM projects;
  • ability to function effectively in a fast-paced team environment but also to work independently;
  • ability to be listed as a Principal Investigator on a California BLM Cultural Use Permit;
  • ability to communicate effectively in writing and through oral presentations; and
  • strong organizational skills and work ethic.

Registered Professional Archaeologists (or ability to become certified as such upon hire) are preferred.


Biological Monitor:

ECORP Consulting, Inc. is seeking responsible and dependable biologists and environmental scientists. We are currently looking to fill biological monitoring positions on challenging and high profile projects involving an array of biological resources spread across Southern California. This will be an excellent career opportunity to work as part of an outstanding environmental consulting team. Professionals should be able to perform biological monitoring and survey activities on large-scale construction projects. B.S. in Biology or related field preferred. Monitors are expected to produce reports daily via computer, have excellent communication skills, familiarity with GPS, performing duties with integrity as requested. Experience in surveying for sensitive vegetative communities/wildlife habitats, performing protocol surveys for sensitive species of southern California, and knowledge of the Federal Migratory Bird Treaty Act and California Fish & Game Code is a plus.


Wildlife and Fisheries Biologists, Botanists, and Restoration Ecologists (entry, mid-level, and senior):

ECORP Consulting, Inc. is currently hiring for all levels of wildlife and fisheries biologists, botanists, and restoration ecologists (entry, mid-level, and senior) in all of our Southern California offices (Redlands, Santa Ana, and San Diego). Job duties include general field surveys for biological resources, sensitive species surveys, jurisdictional waters delineation and permitting, preparation of biological reports, sensitive species permitting, preparation and implementation of mitigation and restoration plans, and preparation of biological resources sections of CEQA and NEPA documents. Mid-level and senior analysts would also have appropriate business development responsibilities for that level. Education requirements include a bachelor’s degree in biology, wildlife management, fisheries, zoology, botany, restoration ecology, or a related field and 0-5 years of experience for an entry-level biologist, 5-7 years of experience for a mid-level biologist, and 7+ years of experience for a senior biologist. Applicable advanced degrees and/or USFWS/CDFG permits and MOUs may substitute for years of experience.
